[ She gets to wait a few minutes for another message, as Kate attempts to come up with the sort of reply that's clearly expected. It involves a lot of blank staring and a half-dozen versions deleted, none more than a word or two long. Eventually she gives up.
And sends a photo instead. It's just a tease, a narrow shot of dark jeans unzipped, a sliver of pale skin between waistband and tee, and a hand slid into lacy purple panties. Better? ]
[ Kate stops typing, and makes Johanna wait in suspense to find out why that is. But eventually there's a knock on her door and Kate is outside, hands shoved deep into the pockets of her jeans. ]
[She knows who it is. But she still takes her time with answering the door, because she can. Once it's open, she leans against the doorframe with her arms crossed over her chest, and lets her gaze crawl slowly over Kate, lingering at the shape of her hands in her pockets.]
[ Kate shrugs, the shift of her shoulders pushing her hands even further, until the ridge of a hipbone is glimpsed between jeans and the hem of her grey t-shirt. She smiles crookedly. ]
I've never found these elevators much of a turn-on.
[ Kate is confused at the axe, and Johanna breezing past her, naked, and doesn't bother to hide it, though she does follow, a couple quick steps catching her up. ]
[She smiles over at Kate, like this is a literal walk in the park. Just a couple of girls, walking together. One girl naked and with an axe, one girl who sent the other girl a picture of herself with her hand down her jeans.
Yeeaaah.... [ Kate concedes that sort of reluctantly and uncertainly, replaying the message in her head. ] But that was definitely before the whole sexting thing. [ Surely that changed the plan??? ]
[She swings her axe off of her shoulder, to carry it at her side instead.]
Like, actually no one. I never see anyone. If that's what you're worried about. And it's not like I haven't seen you naked already. Now we're just adding wrestling to it.
[ That doesn't actually make Kate feel any better about being here, but it's not really the issue at hand, either. She rolls her eyes. ]
It just sounds like a lot of really awkward bruises and chafing I don't need in my life. If we're going to be rolling around naked why bother with the wrestling?

Just for clarification.

1/2
But if you wanted me to come to you, you should have messaged me first. Get on the lift and come up here now.

[ She types it and then stops, and laughs and hits send without adding. ]

You'd better not be. And if you are, it can't be very good, because you're still managing to type.

That doesn't look very satisfying.

I bet I can change your mind. Just ask Katniss about her elevator ride with me.
[But then she breaks her gaze and turns around to grab up her axe, and slips out into the hallway with Kate.]
Come on.
[And she starts down the hallway.]

Where are we going? I assume not far....

You know. Normal.]
I said gym first. Didn't I?

You want to skip naked wrestling? Come on, Katie. This is a date. I didn't invite you all the way up here so you could use me.
[She smiles over at her again.]
I want to use you too.

You're not-- you're serious? You're serious. [ She laughs again and lifts a hand, shaking her head. ] I am not wrestling you naked in the gym.

Because it's so much fun, Kate. You've never tried it, have you?
[They've reached the gym by now, and Johanna opens the door, smoothly, and keeps on leading the way, into the room.]
